diacriTech acquires Flexpub and oLibrary.org

diacriTech, a leading technology-driven publishing service provider acquired Flexpub and oLibrary.org on March 3, 2021.

Flexpub is a revolutionary web-based platform for sharing ebook previews or entire content. Flexpub makes it simple for publishers to include in-line book previews without navigating away from the shopping cart. Capitalizing on advanced browser-based eBook rendering capabilities, it enables readers to go straight from cover to content without any downloads or special apps. Flexpub previews make social media and email marketing campaigns a breeze, leading to more views and engagement with publishers’ content. Publishers also use Flexpub as a Gratis system for electronic reviews and to distribute desk copies.

oLibrary.org is a free online repository of open access and public domain where readers can access thousands of free titles without the need to install apps or download files. The growing list of content contributors includes Project Gutenberg, University of California Press, University of Michigan Press, and the University of Ottawa Press. The goal is to create an alternate distribution channel that increases interest and support for open access content.

The acquisition is in line with diacriTech’s innovation-led strategy to value-add its unified cloud-based digital publishing platform XEditPro. XEditPro enables the end-to-end publishing cycle with significant differentiators to equip publishers with agility and speed to market, operational cost savings, and higher multi-channel user engagement. It has been adopted by several leading publishers worldwide, a strong endorsement of its superior features and functionality.

While Flexpub will extend XEditPro’s capabilities to generate new revenue opportunities for publishers, oLibrary will serve to amplify the visibility of open access publications.
