We are looking for an established and energetic sales executive who can help us exceed our current growth rate by expanding our customer base in US, UK, Brazil and Europe.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will:

  • have a minimum of 5 years in a similar position with one of our competitors
  • have an established relationship with CEO level or Senior VP level executives at major publishing houses
  • have excellent written & oral communication skills
  • have good knowledge of publishing terms, technologies, and market trends
  • be willing to spend about 40% of their time for travel

Salary & Benefits:
This job will have a base pay with a strong commission component.

Part-time:  15-20 hours/week, 3- 5 days/week.
Location:  Copley Square, Boston, MA, USA
Responsibilities:

  • Research appropriate contacts for business development efforts. Call to expand network, to prospect for projects with new clients, and to make appointments for company executives with clients.
  • Track and report on business development activity.
  • Process mail, including payments.
  • Handle administrative communication with India offices.
  • Manage office logistics, including communication with building management, IT support, etc.
  • Provide administrative support for executives and project managers in production and editorial.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will consider other candidates with experience.
  • Following experience is a requisite for this post:
  • 1 year business development, sales, and/or marketing support
  • 6 months office administrative support
  • Must be comfortable making cold calls.
  • Outgoing and personable. Resilient and persistent in the face of sales rejection.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
